I love watching cooking shows. Whether the recipe is local or foreign dish, I find a certain enjoyment and wonder with how the cook whips up something that’s presentable and (I assume because it’s on tv, I can’t taste it) delectable.
But that’s the end of it. I just love to watch and I never jotted down any recipe or cooking technique that I’ve seen. I just enjoy watching the whole cooking process.
I cook but only when I have to. I’m an eater. Not a cook. Not even a combination eater-cook. I’m just a plain eater.
My repertoire is limited but as my mother tells me, it’s good. I don’t think it’s good, just decent enough to feed any hungry soul.
I’ve never gone beyond my spaghetti sauce, giniling, menudo, fried fish, mushroom omelet, sauteed peas, corn and carrots. That’s all I know how to cook and I have no plans on adding anything new on my menu.
Because I’m an eater. And a watcher of cooking shows. And a lover of good cooks.
So if you can cook really good, then…I love you!
So, does Nhil cook good? Haha. I don’t like to cook, too. But I LOVE to watch cooking shows. Asian-themed ones, especially.
She said she can cook. But so far all I’ve tasted were her egg salad sandwiches.
